All else eclipsed (14th Oct 2020)

When sun cuts through

The icey bite

When chill belies

The deep blue sky

When clouds float by

In singular form

When the ice underfoot

Submits to the warmth

While wind chill cools

The blinded eyes

The memories flood

From distant skies

My heart trips joy

From scenes recalled

On higher ground

Where time lie paused

And thus I sit

Quite drenched in this

Deluge of life

All else eclipsed
