Just when I had learned

Everything there was to learn

I learned this was mere vanity


And just when I had learned

And all had been confirmed

I realised with clarity

Just when I had learned

All I thought I needed

I learned I’d been conceited

And just when I had learned

That my wisdom was a lie

And with my ignorance confirmed

My thirst for more was pleasingly revived
