Rusty trees

And ochre leaves

Denuded boughs

And fading greens


Yellows, reds

And those between

Seasons turn

While Summer flees


An icy breeze

A slow grey sky

The kiss of frost

The murmur flies


And here sit I

Enriched by change

Seasons turn
